Rocker Baleigh

Apparently, we have a future rocker in our house. Baleigh got a Barbie guitar from her cousin Nyah for Christmas, and she LOVES it. It is loud and annoying, but it does keep her entertained. This video isn't the best, but it is so hard to get the camera out at just the right time.

Christmas Morning

Baleigh was so excited to see what Santa brought her...she's been a good girl, ya know. (That's what she says...I'm not so sure.) She just loved her tent, dollhouse, princess gown, and all the goodies in her stocking.

She likes the "real computer" Momma and Daddy got her too.

I'll have to get a video of her playing with this dollhouse. It is pretty funny!

Another Girl!

Well, you would think I might be excited to be having another sweet little girl...especially since I already have all the stuff. You'd be WRONG. I really, really wanted a little boy. Oh well...maybe Jason will cave after being trapped with so many girls, and we can try one last time for a boy.

Christmas Spirit

Baleigh just loves to sing, and this year she is learning a few Christmas songs. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time capturing her on video. I will work a little harder in the next few days. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.

Crazy Baleigh

I've been trying to get some cute pictures of Baleigh for a Christmas card, but she isn't seeing things my way. My idea of a good picture and her idea are VERY different.

Sweet, huh?
She was doing kung fu in this picture...oh so Christmassy!
She was looking sad here (ON PURPOSE)...I may have an actress on my hands.
Nice smile
I also tried to get a picture of her with our puppies...ha, ha, ha...never gonna happen!
Here is a picture of our sweet little puppies...they may be on the Christmas card this year instead of Baleigh!!!!

Christmas Express

Baleigh aboard the Christmas Express.
Saturday we took a train ride on the Christmas Express. The local Farmrail sells tickets to benefit our Multi-County Youth Services program here and makes a special Christmas ride for the holidays. I was pretty miserable due to motion sickness on top of morning sickness.
Baleigh and Luke
Baleigh was looking out the window with Mary, Minta's sister.
Minta and Luke...doesn't Minta look excited!
Luke decided there must be something to see, so he looked out the window with Baleigh. Though this trip was not fun for me, Baleigh did enjoy herself and even talked to Santa. So...we call that a success at our house.

A little visit to see Santa

Well, Baleigh promised to sit on Santa's lap this year...she lied. I had to absolutely peel her off of me to even get her close to him. She didn't cry this year though so that's a major breakthrough.

Can't you see the terror on her face?

She just wanted to get away. I let her know that Santa wouldn't know what to bring her if she didn't tell him herself...I don't think she much cares. Her cousin Luke sat on Santa's lap though. Just wait until next year, he may throw a big fit like her.
This is going to be a very Merry Christmas. Next time, I will be posting pictures from our ride on the train...what a miserable ride! It is not for the weak of stomach!

My Little Artist

Baleigh just loves to paint, color, and create. Although messy, painting seems to be her passion.

Can't you see the concentration of a great artist at work?

As always, my little sweetie is smiling for the camera. She's not a bit camera shy.

Happy Halloween

I know I am posting this really late, but better late than never!!

As you can see, Baleigh was Ariel, The Little Mermaid, for Halloween this year. As much as she loved that wig...she hated wearing it. I'll admit, it was a pain because our western Oklahoma wind kept blowing it off of her head. Plus, I just couldn't tame that wild mass of hair...it looked pretty crazy.

Here is a shot of that "wonderful red hair", as Baleigh like to call it!
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat." That was Baleigh's greeting at each door. A few days later, she learned the ending..."if you don't, I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear." So tacky...but, sort of cute coming out of her mouth.
This was her first stop...at my grandma's neighbor's house. She was so proud!
Once we got to the Fall Festival, Baleigh was tired of the red wig and took it off. We enjoyed an evening of games.
You can't really see much from the picture, but she is laying down in the moon bounce after jumping around forever. I guess she finally wore herself out...heaven knows it wore me out watching her.

Snapshots of Baleigh

Baleigh is such a ham that I wanted to include a few pictures I've captured recently that show her personality. She loves to smile for the camera, and she has the goofiest smile when she's showing off. Enjoy!Baleigh said, "Take my picture Mama...I'm so cute!" Not vain at all, huh?!!
Messy hair, but a cute smile...it was Friday night in Clinton so she has on her maroon and gold!
She just loves the new puppies...loves to carry them around and rock them. Poor puppies!
Baleigh was enjoying her ice cream at Chick-fil-A this day...she'd been to the doctor so I figured she deserved some ice cream!

I'll try to post something of more substance next time. Have a great week!!!

Baleigh's First OU Game!

Here is Baleigh on our way to the game. She was SO excited! Who knows what she was expecting once we got there. But...she told everyone we saw that she was going to the OU Sooners football game.So...Baleigh was an amazing OU football fan!!! She yelled, she danced, and she shook her pom poms!!! She no fool either...she knows our special teams are in need of some BIG help!
I snapped a picture of Baleigh with her Mimi...so sweet. They both had fun!
And this is when we knew it was time to leave...Baleigh was finished. I can't complain though...she stood in the heat with no nap for a long time. Everyone has their limits!
So...Baleigh is ready for her next game. Jason and I may have a tough time getting to the rest of the games without her this year. Sorry Baleigh...

Let the games begin...

Last week the unthinkable happened...I attended the baby shower of a nuclear medicine classmate of mine that I thought would never have a child. But, she will have a little baby boy right around her 40th birthday. Crazy!!! Here is a picture of me with 3 other nuclear classmates. Ray, JJ, me, and Jennifer...Jennifer is also pregnant! We had a good time that day!Saturday marked the beginning of OU football. I LOVE football, and I love OU so Jason and I have season tickets, and we try to make it to every game. Here are a couple of pictures of us soaking up the huge victory before the rainstorm. We had a great time. Go Sooners!!

Here is a sweet picture of Jason and Baleigh with our growing puppies. Mocha and Latte aren't sure if they really like Baleigh yet. I'm sure there are days when they just wish she'd go away.

Aren't they sweet?!!

Have a happy day!!!

A birthday and new puppies

Baleigh got so many things for her birthday that we have to cycle through them as she plays. I hide a few while she plays with the others. She thinks she is all grown up now at 3 years old.

Gotta love Barbie...we've got about 5 of them now!!!

My mom and I are pretty proud of her Little Mermaid cake...it took us about 3 hours to decorate it. Next year, I'll go with something a little bit easier!!!! Have a great day!

Our little flower girl...

The day after we returned from Budapest, Baleigh and I were part of my cousin, Carol's, wedding. This is a sweet picture of Baleigh admiring herself in the mirror before it started. She thought she was getting married to the ring bearer. Unfortunately, she didn't act very good during the ceremony and had to go outside so she was teased that she left him at the alter. It was very cute.

Budapest or Bust

Well, Jason and I recently returned home from a trip to Budapest. I know, interesting choice of vacation spots...but, we had a good time. It was really pretty there, and we were enjoying 60 and 70 degree weather while everyone here was sweating out 100 plus!!!! I'm going to include several pictures of some really pretty places we saw while we were there. I will also include a few pictures of our Presidential Suite...that's right, we had a room that was the size of our house!!!! Fortunately for us, all the handicap accessible rooms were smoking...that just doesn't work for 2 asthmatics, so.............they only other room that had a bathroom Jason could get into with his wheelchair was this suite. Ah.....

This first picture is of the Chain Bridge. It is the first bridge to connect the Buda side to the Pest side...it spans the Danube River. This is a picture from our balcony.

This is a picture of our sunroom. There were 3 doors leading our onto the balcony. This was our bedroom (half of it anyway)...we spent the most time in there. (Who could use all that other space?)

This was the formal dining room. It was just off the small kitchen. We also had a smaller dining table in the sunroom.

This was part of the living room looking out into the sunroom and through the window to the balcony.

This is Jason and I at Hero's Square...we were still a little jet-lagged as this was our first day after arriving.

This is the Fisherman's Wharf...it was close to the Palace and where the fisherman protected the palace from invasion.

This is the Parliment building...it is the national capital (like where Congress would be).

This is St. Stephen's Basilica.

I hope you enjoy these pictures from our trip. It was nice to get away from all of the hectic things at home. Have a great day...
